A RUDE FACT OF LIFE

Not wishing or intending to be lavatorial, or giving offence to my respectable and like-minded readers, but did you know that the issuers of Radio Callsigns in the 1950's, didn't seem to consider the international scene [political correctness] when allowing individual States to use parochial radio callsigns.

Here are just three examples.

Q.  What DID the French Cruiser Georges Leygues, and Swedish merchant ships Birka and Balaklava  have in common ?

A. Their callsigns are respectively FART, SHIT, SHAT.
