A Snippet

As long as it stays published [and I have no control over that, obviously] this is a worthwhile visit to the RCN of the early 1950's.

The video lasts for approximately 22 minutes, so rather long, but worth the view.

It tells of the story of units of the RCN leaving Halifax Nova Scotia to sail to the UK to take part in HM's Coronation in June 1953 [marching in London]  and subsequent Spithead Coronation Fleet Review,  with HM in the then Royal Yacht H.M.S. Surprise, a frigate. After it is all over, we see the Canadians depart from Spithead for home.

Brings back many memories.

P.S. Ignore the very short advert right at the beginning of the video tape.
