Do you realise that 53'odd years will have passed since the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth was first voted in in the House of Commons in 1963, and it coming to fruition as a Fleet unit as a carrier [2014/15?] but with nothing to carry [no aircraft] until 2020?
"Minister of Defence, Peter Thornycroft announced in the House of Commons today, the 30th July 1963, that Britain would build a 50,000 ton aircraft carrier and that agreement had been finally reached between the Royal Navy and the RAF on the question of a common aircraft. She was to be named HMS Queen Elizabeth".
