was a year which saw ALL the navy's warrant officers long established into a middle management group the likes of which could not have been bettered. Here are just a few bits and pieces from a time which was running-down from its war time complement to a peace time navy. After the carnage of the first world war, nobody believed that war was ever possible again, least not a world war, and many must have wondered, and worried about their future.
